MEDVIRKENDE:
Brunskill and Grimes is a collaboration between Andy Brunskill and Jimmy Grimes (@jimmy_grimes_puppetry) creating world class puppetry and practical effects for stage, screen and events. Having met while working as Associate Director and Puppet Director of War Horse in the West End they have gone on to create work for venues including The National Theatre, The Young Vic, the Orange Tree, Longleat Safari Park and the egg at Theatre Royal Bath as well as creating work for international TV advertising campaigns.
Always striving to push the possibilities of puppetry and the contexts it operates in, Brunskill and Grimes explore work with animal perspectives as the activation point for narrative and frequently collaborate with cross-discipline artists, academics and professionals. Their work is almost always devised: they like strong visuals, epic music and work which everyone can enjoy. The duo regularly run workshops on puppetry, directing, making and designing. They also teach at leading drama schools, theatre companies, universities, youth groups and theatres, as well as workshops for professionals.
